COS+H 2010 Will be Unveiled in the Golden Autumn in Beijing
As China is embracing fast economic development, and occupational safety and health become one of the top priorities of the government, safety equipment and the personal protective equipment industry are ushering in an unprecedented historical opportunity. In 2010, the Administration of National Security and the National Coal Mine Safety Supervision Bureau issued the Guidance to Scientific and Technological Achievements Promotion for Occupational Safety and the Promotion Directory of Advanced and Applicable Equipment and Technology for Occupational Safety and Health. In response to specific work plans of relevant departments and the market demand, the 5th China International Occupational Safety & Health Exhibition (COS+H 2010) will be held in China National Convention Center on September 1st, 2010.
COS+H was initiated in 2002, was organized by the Sate Administration of Work Safety, and undertaken by the National Center for International Exchange & Cooperation in Work Safety and Messe Düsseldorf China Ltd. The exhibition is held once every two years and has been held for four times successfully. The event wins active participation and strong support of exhibitors and departments from home and abroad as it is well organized and planned. Now COS+H has grown into the largest, best, most professional international technology exchange exhibition for occupational safety and health in Asia, playing a great part in promoting safety technology innovation and the development of the protective equipment industry for occupational safety and health in China and the world at large.
The theme of this exhibition is "Safe Development Concerns People's Well-being ". The organizer will further increase the technology content of the exhibits, organize more site activities and enrich information to attract more buyers and visitors. In addition, this exhibition includes special zones of main safety technologies and equipment, including explosion-proof products, personal protective equipment, mine safety technology and equipment, safety monitoring instrumentation and automation equipment, emergency rescue techniques and equipment, and special vehicles.
A series of policy and standard propaganda activities and technical seminars will also be held concurrently with the exhibition. Relevant leaders, experts and some exhibitor representatives will exchange view with visitors on policy orientation, new products and technologies, and they will also shed light on how the industry is doing from a professional perspective.
The organizer will deliver greater efforts to visiting arrangements. For the first time, the organizer will invite trade visitors from economic and technological development zones and industrial parks in Beijing, Tianjing, Hebei, Shandong, Jiangsu and other neighboring cities.
A great number of international brands have registered already. Latest products and technologies will be showcased by a multitude of companies, including 3M, BACOU, Honeywell, Mei Sian, Drager, Schneider, Li-heng, Ruike (Beijing) Technology, Shanghai HuaPeng Explosion-proof Technology, Yihe, and OSH China.
Since the first success in 2002, COS+H has become a platform to exhibit safety equipment, personal protective equipment and products to improve work environment, occupational health, and to hold lectures and seminars for occupational safety and health. It plays a key role in avoiding accidents and disasters, so that all people can work in a better environment, and exchange with each other the latest safety and health technologies and knowledge. As the exhibition becomes more professional and international, it plays a great part in promoting security technology innovation and the development of the protective equipment industry for occupational safety and health in China and the world at large.
China Enjoys a Promising Market for Safety Products
As China's economy grows, the government stresses harder the work safety monitoring and management, and pays more attention to occupational health and self-awareness, the personal protective equipment industry will have a brighter future. Recent yeas witnessed about 10% annual economic growth rate in China. The government increased investment in occupational safety and health industry. Relevant statistics show that the annual government investment in personal protective equipment, safety equipment and safety testing equipment is as high as 360 billion RBM, including 50 billion yuan for work safety in the coal mine industry, which provides a broad space for the development of the work safety equipment industry. In China, the market for protection products values as much as 60 billion yuan, including 25 billion yuan for special protective products.
COS+H 2010 has gained full and strong support from many government departments, including NDRC, the Ministry of Science, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the Ministry of Railways, General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, State Seismological Bureau, State Electricity Regulatory Commission, and All-China Federation of Trade Unions. The exhibition is jointly sponsored by Machinery Industrial Instrumentation Technology and Economy Research and the International Social Security Agency. It is the only one exhibition supported by the ILO in Asia. Apart from that, COS+H 2010 will build a platform for communication and cooperation, production and trade together with A + A, the world leader of its kind.
