Bay Publishing started in 2002 with the launch of our first title, Health & Safety International. Since then we have established ourselves as creators of beautifully designed, effective and market-leading products. If you are looking for magazines or websites to increase your knowledge, want to speak with publishers about articles you have written, or need a place to increase the profile of the products you manufacture, then look no further.
Meet Our Team

Jenny Hardy
Editor-in-Chief
With over 30 years of design experience, and therefore most patient, employee! With an eye for detail, she appreciates beauty both off-screen (the sea, Idris Elba) and on-screen (design, Idris Elba).

Ana Martins
Editor
Rarely seen without a book in her hand (or bag) and owning her own weight in stationery, she lives up to every publishing stereotype. She is the resident colour-coordinator with a stash of stickers, post-its and pens. Portuguese and proud, you can usually find her making an umpteenth cup of barista-quality coffee and complaining about the cold.

Joanna Higgins
Digital Marketing Manager
Meet Jo, our digital marketing manager! With over 15 years in digital, Jo is a great team player with fantastic attention to detail. Perfect to market your brand to the fullest potential across all of our platforms. She is creative, loves craftwork (not so much Kraftwerk), home accessories and interior design.

Sophie Baker
Digital Marketing Assistant
A little dynamo of a 4’ 11’’ fifth generation Manchester United fan that used to captain Weymouth FC as a winger. Think Marc Overmars or Freddie Ljungberg. Because that will annoy her. On her weekends she likes to spend time with friends and family by the sea or watching superhero films. Her love of all things digital marketing shines through – for goodness sake, she studies email marketing platforms at the weekends!

Laura Last
Administrator
Our Laura is a Portland girl through and through – she won’t even say “r4bb1t$” out loud in case it collapses a mine or quarry somewhere (you look it up!!). She loves running on her island (no mean feat when you consider how hilly the rocky outcrop is), cooking and dining out, and exploring new places with the family.
She joins us with 13 years medical admin experience, and enjoys working with data and spreadsheets, which is a very good thing as she looks after our circulations, readerships and data.

Rebecca Avant
Sales Manager and Account Manager for HSI Magazine
Rebecca is the Mother Hen, the oil on troubled waters, the voice of reason, grease for a squeaky wheel and glue that binds us all together. Or do we just appreciate her because she’s a jolly good saleswoman?! A lover of the finer things, you’ll either find her in a restaurant, boutique or Bali…

Becca Highfield
Advertising Sales Executive HSI
Just a regular mum… No! That’s not what she said. A cool yummy mummy who loves her little bambina, coffee, makeup and buttons. No! Not buttons – she genuinely has a weird phobia about them. So don’t try to pay for the incredible campaigns she puts together with you for your company in the safety industry – in buttons. Outgoing, sassy and confident, she will be your most effective marketing weapon.

Keiley Godfrey
Advertising Sales Executive HSME
Extremely well-travelled from her time in the travel industry and multi-lingual to boot, Keiley is our favourite because of her mother-in-law’s cooking. Did she tell you she recently got married?! We have an incredible collection of spoonerisms or verbal mix-ups from Keels – if ever you’re down we’ll send you some! Diligent, tenacious, conscientious and hardworking, she could sell anything to anyone.

Sarah Hopkins
Advertising Sales Executive HSME
Sarah is the newest member of our team on HSME magazine. When asked to provide some info she said she’d like us to mention her love of wine, cheese, wine, netball, cheese and wine… I felt this put her in a bad light – but not strongly enough to not include it!! Word for word. Verbatim. For you all to enjoy.
But that’s harsh; she loves her one-eyed dog, Greek food and culture, has a wicked sense of humour, only has one entry in our office ‘Isms’ book so must be quite intelligent (info on application!), makes an incredible potato salad, listens to The Killers and My Chemical Romance, and absolutely loves getting to know her advertisers!

Jess Oswald
Advertising Sales Executive AWE
The Joker. Her rapier wit and one liners keep all on their toes, or in tears. Fun and bubbly, just like her favourite drink, she’s a natural salesperson and will courageously defend, increase and protect her advertisers’ brands and reputations. Thinks her pet dogs are human…

Cameron Paul
Advertising Sales Executive AWE
Cameron was a mixologist and bartender in a previous life. We would like it put on record that this was NOT the reason he got the job on AWE. He’s young so his hollow legs and shrew-like metabolism allow him to eat two torpedo rolls a day for lunch, plus trimmings, which he burns off by going to the gym and playing football. We say, loosely, that he likes football but he plays for the mighty Portesham (population 685) and supports Arsenal… Known to dabble in stocks and shares he’ll probably retire before the rest of us!

Sasha Pearce
Advertising Sales Executive OSE
The inspiration for Beyoncé’s album, Sasha Fierce, she is anything but. Calm, serene, strong, she annoys everyone in the office by turning golden brown as soon as the clocks go forward! You want online presence? Call Sasha!

Meet Jo, our digital marketing person! She is creative, loves craftwork (not so much Kraftwerk), home accessories and interior design. Loves to keep fit and healthy with family bike rides and yoga. But offsets this with pancakes… Loves the summer sun, hates the winter.
She is a great team player with fantastic attention to detail, perfect for marketing your brand to the fullest potential across all of our platforms.
